North Mendota Parkway
Dane County is currently studying alternatives for a
new east-west roadway over the north side of Lake Mendota. The North
Mendota Parkway Committee has developed several alternative roadway
scenarios ranging in intensity from a 35 mph parkway to a high-speed
parkway and local arterial. For more information log on to the

Friends of Pheasant Branch
Nothlake is truly fortunate being adjacent to the Pheasant
Branch Conservancy. A wonderful resource for information about the
Conservancy is the Friends of Pheasant Branch web site, a group
to which many of us are already members. There you can find a wealth
of information including news on the latest restoration projects
in the works, nature notes and photographs, and upcoming events
and educational programs. It is important for all of us to support
the Friends of Pheasant Branch, especially with talk of a parkway
to our north and development to our east. These issues, if not properly
implemented, will ultimately affect the quality of this wonderful
natural area. Our strong support individually, and as a neighborhood,
will only serve to strengthen the Friend's voice in protecting what
