Minutes of the Meeting of the Board of Directors

Monday, April 17, 2006
The Harbor Annex

Board Members Present: Landrews, Steve Globerman, Kelly Stelzer, Bob Shively

Board Members Absent: Dave Kalshoven, Steve Hill

Other Association Members Present: General membership-1

Larry Andrews called the meeting to order 6:40 p.m.

March 2006 Board meeting minutes were reviewed and unanimously approved


Old Business
  • Board President replacement due to Ron Scheinin resignation as president of NNABOD Steve Globerman nominated Kelly Stelzer as NNABOD President. Larry Andrews second the motion. All voted and Kelly Stelzer was unanimously elected NNABOD President.
  • Hill / Birschbach – Jon & Donna Birschbach returned the signed letter to attorney Greg Seibold. To be compliant, Jon & Donna are required to complete necessary work by 6/1/06.

New Business
  • Burned out lights at the Indigo Way entrance – who is responsible for having bulbs replaced? Frank Korosec will buy additional bulbs and submit receipt to Dave Kalshoven for reimbursement. He will replace bulbs as necessary.
  • Green space behind Korosec yard – e mail dated 4/7/2006. Beth Korosec will provide Kelly Stelzer with the telephone number for landscaper Steve Bassett. Kelly will obtain an estimate from Steve Bassett to repair. The repair cost and the Teal Court repair project will be on the agenda for the May NNABOD meeting May 15, 2006.
  • Dave Rouark still has deeds to some out-lots that he either needs to deed to Northlake or to the city of Middleton. The city is pressing him to get them out of his possession. Discuss: pros and cons -- Ron Scheinin was contact by Dave Rouark with regard to above. Ron Scheinin contacted Larry Andrews. Kelly Stelzer will contact Dave Rouark to find out where these out-lots are located. We will discuss at May NNABOD meeting if it is advantageous for NNA to agree to the "Quit Claim" and "Real Estate Transfer Return" and accept responsibility for maintenance and any added costs of these out-lots.

  • Finance Committee:
      2006 Dues – Dues notices should be mailed to all Northlake homeowners by end of week 4/28/06.
    Task Force:
      Update – Larry Andrews will contact Dave Shields to ask for a report at the May NNABOD meeting.
    Safety Committee:
      No report.
    Architectural Control Committee:
      No report.
    Communications Committee:
      Update – Kelly Stelzer will send an e-mail to Tanya Buchanan asking her to send an e-mail blast with the date Chem Lawn will do the first fertilizer treatment.

      Who will responsible for responding to e-mail? It was decided that all e-mails to the NNABOD be answered by the President within 2 business days of receipt. If the President is not available, the President will advise the board so that someone else will respond in the President’s absence.
    Social Committee:
      Northlake Garage Sale update – The Northlake 2006 Garage Sale is May 18, 19 and 20, 2006. Melody Husband 833-5803 and Kim Gordon 836-6030 will be running the garage sale this year.
    Neighborhood Maintenance:
      Update – Kelly Stelzer was requested by Four Leaf to have the trees in the Northlake out-lots trimmed. Bob Shively motioned to have this done. Larry Andrews seconded the motion. All approved. Kelly Stelzer will have Four Leafs provide him with an estimate to have this work done.

Other Business
    Meeting location
    • Northlake Neighborhood Association next and future board meetings will be at The Harbor Annex located at 2711 Allen Blvd (corner of Allen Blvd and Century Ave).
    • Dates and time will continue to be the third Monday of the month as follows:

        Monday, June 19, 2006
        Monday, July 17, 2006
        Monday, August 21, 2006
        Monday, September 18, 2006
        Monday, October 16, 2006
        Monday, November 20, 2006 annual meeting


Larry Andres adjourned meeting at 8:30 p.m.
