Committee Reports
    Finance Committee:
The Finance Committee Report - Through July 13, 2004 was distributed and Kalshoven provided an overview of the report. Nahn requested that Kalshoven pay Meister's the balance due minus $1500.00. Discussion ensued regarding unpaid assessments. Kalshoven listed those Association members who had not yet paid their assessments. Korosec moved to accept the report. Nahn seconded the motion. The Finance Committee Report was unanimously accepted.

    Architectural Control:
It was agreed that the letter that was going to be sent to Association members from the ACC should not be sent. Instead, the September newsletter will include something from the ACC. Halberslaben agreed to begin contacting members who are not in compliance with the Covenants with regard to mail boxes, post lights and conifer trees.

    Social Committee:
Korosec reported that Lynn Schreibman had left a message earlier in the day indicating that she will no longer serve on the Social Committee. Korosec will contact Laura Melum to determine whether the other members of the Social Committee are continuing to distribute welcome baskets.

    Neighborhood Maintenance:
John, from Four Leaf Lawn Care, attended the meeting to discuss concerns about the lawn mowing.

Leone agreed to solicit bids for maintaining (weeding, trimming bushes, etc.) the neighborhood planting areas for the remainder of 2004.

    Safety Committee:
Nahn reported that he would ask Barry Reynolds if he would spearhead the Safety Committee (to replace Pat Reid).

Nahn then distributed the Highlands of Bishops Bay annexation agreement. He referred to the traffic studies that have been and are being conducted because of this proposed annexation.

    Communications Committee:
Prior to the meeting, Tanya Buchanan provided a written copy of Communications Committee Update - as of July 12, 2004. The document noted that the web site received 3,695 hits in May, 3,770 in June and 1,824 hits to date in July. There were three neighborhood emails sent (Northlake Softball Tournament notice, 4th of July Parade and Picnic reminder, and Association Board meeting reschedule notice).

The Newscasters distributed most of the Softball Tournament notices. Another email was sent to all members of the Communication Committee asking for assistance with various tasks. Kalshoven moved to accept the Update. Halberslaben seconded the motion. The Communication Committee Update was unanimously accepted.
Other Business
Tshabalala asked whether there was an Association policy regarding unrestrained pets. There is not.

Tshabalala also asked about whether welcome baskets were being distributed to new neighbors. Korosec will contact Laura Melum regarding the welcome baskets. Including a copy of the Covenants and the Architectural Review sheet in the baskets was discussed.

Kalshoven moved to adjourn the meeting. Leone seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 8:41 p.m.
